Fairy gardens

Thank you to everyone who wished me well last week. In the end the fair was a complete washout - it hadn't been advertised so visitors were very thin on the ground. I'll admit it did get me down, and I rather lost interest in making or writing anything for a few days, and still haven't anything terribly witty to say; but then the little daisies and toadstools started calling and I couldn't resist for long.

The daisies were begging to be made into a daisy chain necklace - the Smalls have been busy harvesting dandelions and daisies all week and threading them together into coronets and bracelets, so I thought I'd get in on the action. I made some little matching earrings too; the fimo flowers are very light and float gorgeously on illusion cord. This is my very favourite type of necklace, both to make and to wear.

But something that's been at the back of my mind since I started making felt pictures, drawing and embroidering and modelling little mushroom houses is the thought of a Fairy Garden bracelet - and here it is:

It's still a bit of a work in progress - I'm trying to decide whether to leave the dangly charms sliding freely between the anchored crystals as they currently are, or whether to restrict them a bit, but I'm really pleased with the airiness of it so far. And perhaps the fairies will like it too!
